Lesley Smith, Associate for ‘Stuart and Frank’ has expertise in delivering training and workshops to young people and adults. As an enthusiastic educator, Lesley engages people using interactive delivery methods and builds positive relationships with both groups and individuals - showing excellent success with outstanding results that speak for themselves.

Lesley’s varied career includes a variety of roles in education and training, in both development and delivery. She is currently working in education as a course leader and lecturer in ‘Health and Social Care’ and ‘Early Years’ at Burton and South Derbyshire College, where she has gained ‘Outstanding’ teach grades. Previously, Lesley has worked for Tamworth College, West Nottinghamshire College and as Senior TA/ SEN Support Assistant for Inclusion Support Service/ Individual Need Centre (ASD) in Nottinghamshire.

Smith has a Certificate in Education: Compulsory Education from Nottingham Trent University 2008, Level 4 Certificate in Further Education Teaching Stage 2 2006 and N.N.E.B. from West Notts. College 1982.

Lesley has mentored PGCE students and has been involved in the interview process for the recruitment of staff. She has sat on the board of governors as a parent governor for 4 years, a committee member on the neighbourhood forum and committee member for her neighbourhood management team; Has co-hosted conferences and written TA bulletins. Lesley has also managed both after school clubs and breakfast clubs, successfully applied for funding to set up these clubs and has since been awarded the ‘Aiming Higher Award’.

Based in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, Lesley spends her free time practising piano, supporting Leicester Tigers rugby club and Salsa dancing.
